As we
head into the summer months things often slow down a
little at church. Why not use this as an opportunity to regroup, to
recharge your batteries, to "replan" what you are intending for prayer
in your church.
Have the prayer team over for an evening to re-inspire
them. Or take a night with the faithful few who come to prayer meeting
and encourage them to dream about what they would like to see regarding
prayer in your church. Show an inspirational prayer DVD. Then pray
together asking God to release His purposes for prayer in your midst.
There are a number of dvds you could get from a past CPLN Empowered conference.
You can buy some individually ("Characteristics of a
Prayer Leader That Bring Glory to God" or "The God Who Answers By
Fire," or get a set of everything from Empowered 2007."
I
also want to encourage you to read through this issue of Prayer Leader OnLine. There are a
number of articles that can encourage you . . . starting with "It Seems
to Me . . . " by Phil Miglioratti, who speaks about the recent attempts
by a federal judge to shut down the National Day of Prayer. He has some
interesting things to say.
Blessings,
